Dena Linn Fiction

Short story of Love, rhythm and life published!

Short story featuring an West African man seated on a stool with his instrument, the kora, in his lap.

Every piece of my writing has a bit of me in it. “My Name is Youssou” is both a chilling and warm story about personal growth and life! Writing this short was a wonderful adventure. Having lived and worked in West Africa and NYC, it was both exciting andĀ  meaningful to weave people and events from those timesĀ  into this fictional story of an immigrant musician who finds his way in the world.
