Dena Linn Fiction

Flash Fiction of all that can matter on a fast moving train.

Title: How to become an Octopus. An octopus with a skull and black hat, floating in the sky above a building.

I am delighted to announce my flash fiction story “The Bully” was published in Print version in v.200 of  “Down in the Dirt Magazine”!

Three cheers for literature in print!!       Small pink sparkler

I took the challenge to write, in less than 1000 words, of love, hate, fear, and shame that follow and live within humankind.  This short story zeros in on a mild Chinese businessman’s journey on a cross country train. My time in China in the very beginning of the 1980s provided inspiration for this story, but I know that we all feel these emotions, as we sit and look at others. We remember and compare things our parents taught us. We imagine things that are not real and we contemplate things that we believe are. Please enjoy “The Bully”.
